Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek, California. Her first professional work was with television and film productions like "Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986). Later, she worked on projects such as Double Dare (1976). Also, she has appeared on television shows like 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001) as well as Dyna Girl (2001). Her most famous TV performance was as "Christine Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). She was in 156 episodes of this comedy, from 1984 to 1992. She was the daughter of Marylee (Armstrong) Post, poet and noted nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14, 1918 - April 7 15th, 2015). Two daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1987), and Daisy Ross (born on March 30 in 1990) were born in her second marriage to Michael A. Ross. She was born in Palo alto, California and grew up close to Walnut Creek, California. She was an athlete at Las Lomas High School, Walnut Creek, California. She received her Bachelor of Arts at Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She was the trick roper in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The body was cremated and the cremated remains returned to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post, who was three months from her 71st birth date on the 4th of November, 2021, died on the 7th of August. She died just 27 days after Charles Robinson, her Night Court (1984) co-star, who died on July 11, 2021. While they were totally different shows, Night Court (1984), where she was the lead, ended in 1992 with Christine Sullivan leaving for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992), in which Post took on a new role Georgie Lahti (who actually had previously worked for a time in Washington DC before moving to smaller areas) was released in 1992.
