Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She is the host of her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares an easy and straightforward cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. The chef Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She also has explored Italy's cuisine and culture, and the surrounding geography. As a youngster, living in the New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step following her graduation with a Bachelor of Arts in English as well as Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute during my time in The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I couldn't seem to get enough out of the experience. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell was able to spend a full time in Italy taking classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. The chef gained an knowledge of Italian culinary and cultural traditions while in Italy and this has affected her style of cooking. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in children's lives who are facing problems. She is also a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador which promotes awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. She talks about her culinary love and imparts her experiences in the food world as she frequently is in the United States for various roles such as speakers and mentors. Anne was always grateful that she had the opportunity to share her love of her life, cooking with others.
