Alice Jane Evans was conceived in 1971 by David Evans, a professor at Bristol University of Applied Mathematics and Janet Evans a English teacher. Alice took classes in French and Italian in London in University College and later moved to Paris to take acting classes at Cours Florent. Us has confirmed in March of 2021, Gruffudd's divorce petition from Evans after 13 years of union. Gruffudd had posted two months earlier saying that she and her husband wanted to end their marriage. They have two daughters, Ella (13), as well as Elsie (9). Her most famous role is acting in the role of Rosa in Ginger & Rosa as Lena Duchannes, on Beautiful Creatures. Alice Englert makes her directorial debut alongside Jennifer Connelly in the lead. Englert who is her mother's daughter Oscar winner Jane Campion and who starred in Dangerous Liaisons shifts to directing in Bad Behavior at Sundance.
