Renee Kathleen Zellweger, was born in
Katy, Texas on April 25 of 1969. Her mother, Kjellfrid (Andreassen), is a
former nurse and midwife from Norway, Kven (Finnish), in addition to being of
Swedish and Norwegian descent. Emil Erich Zellweger is her father. He is a
Swiss engineer. The couple was married in 1963. Renee is a sister to a brother
called Drew Zellweger, a marketing executive who was born on the 15th of
February 1967. Renee got interested in acting during high school while working
on the drama club. She also took an acting class at University of Texas
(Austin) in Austin, and then began looking towards acting as a career. She
wanted to be an actor when she finished her studies, but Hollywood can be hard
to get into. Renee decided not to quit Texas and went to audition in Houston
