Emily Swallow (born December 18, 1979) is an American actress from the United States. Her roles on The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most popular. Also, she appears as The Armorer in the live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian and had a minor role as Emily in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born on December 18, 1979, in Washington, D.C. She was raised in Sterling, Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida. When she was at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville She began her acting career in various amateur, college, and professional theatre productions. Swallow graduated from Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville in 2001 with an Bachelor of Arts degree in Middle Eastern Studies. She continued to study to earn an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2008, she made her film debut in The Lucky Ones, a military-themed drama. She appeared in two international premieres: Donald Margulies' play The Country House, Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; and Mark Rylance's play Nice Fish, at the Guthrie Theatre.
