Alona Tal

Alona Tal, an Israeli American singer and actress was born on 20th October 1983 in Herzliya. Following her service in the Israeli Defense Forces, she began her career. In 2003, she appeared in an Israeli movie. This was her big break. Apart from her roles in Israeli films, she recorded many songs with Subliminal. Tal moved in with her sister to New York in order to take a break from her professional career. She was a part of Wyclef Jean's band who is an Haitian artist, on the song "Party to Damascus". She also managed to establish herself in American television, beginning with a recurring role in the show Veronica Mars: She originally was a candidate for the lead however the creator Rob Thomas wrote a new character exclusively for her. Tal eventually earned an established role on the CBS series. Starred in two television programs in Israel before making the move to New York. Recorded a hit song with singer Wyclef Jean. Her native language is Hebrew. She was second in the role as Veronica Mars (2004). Thomas loved her so much that he created the regular character of Meg Manning just for her. Was a part of The Israel Defense Forces. Both her parents are Jewish--her father is Turkish/Jewish while her mother is Polish/Jewish. She plays the role of Adrian Monk's wife who was murdered in the final episode of Monk (2002).
